What Type of Tape Should You Use?

When it comes to choosing a type of tape, it really comes down to personal preference. Different people have different skin types, so what works for one person may not necessarily work for another. I recommend experimenting with different tapes to find the one that works best for you. For me, I have had great success with KT Tape, as it was specifically designed for use on the skin.

How to Measure and Cut the Tape

Try on the outfit and adjust your breasts to help guide you where the tape should go.

To determine the length of tape for your top, hold your breast up in the desired position and place the bottom of the tape at the bottom of your breast. Angle the tape to create a triangle shape, then fold the tape and make your cut. The pieces of tape for the outer sides of your breasts should be the longest, with the tip of the triangle usually placed a few inches above your nipple. Repeat the steps for each breast, measuring both individually.

How to Apply the Tape for Lifting Support

To create the best taping strategy, your first piece should be placed on your ‘side boob’ by placing one piece of tape at the bottom of your breast, near where it meets your ribs. Make sure to give it a good rub, as the friction will help the tape stick better. While still holding your breast with one hand, stretch the tape up and angle it to form the first side of your triangle. Continue repeating this process on the other side in order to form the second side of your triangle. Take your time throughout this process, as you don’t want any bumps or ridges.

How to Make Sure You Don’t Irritate Your Skin

Using a silicone nipple cover can be an effective way to help. They come in two sizes (small and large) five color options, and can be found on Amazon. My personal favorite is Nippies.

How To Remove the Tape Safely

All you have to do is gently peel it off. A perk of using products such as, KT Tape is that it does not leave any annoying tape residue when it is removed.
