Hey friends! The time has come to share my big life update with you. For those who may not know, seven years ago my dad passed away unexpectedly at the age of 57.
It was and still is a major pillar that pushes me to travel and live life to the fullest of my ability.
My dad’s retirement dream was to travel around the states on his motorcycle.
My big life update is to go an epic adventure where Porter (my dog) and I attempt to go around the world in a 2023 Toyota Tacoma overland set-up.
Do you believe in timing?
The other day, the timing of all this occurred to me. On April 16th 2023, my dad would be 65, retired, and on the road for his retirement adventure. Call it serendipity, fate, or destiny. It blows my mind that just two months before my dad would be living out his dream, I accepted a cash offer on my childhood home to start this big adventure of mine.
It has been a long time coming and I am deeply sad to leave my childhood home. I wish I could do all the things and keep my childhood home at the same time, but I cannot.
Saying goodbye to this house is saying hello to the next chapter of my life.
This next journey is in honor of my dad.
